Who is this for?

Victorian primary producers.


Funding is available to help primary producers clean-up, re-establish their properties, and get their businesses up and running again.

Grants may be used to help pay for the costs of:

  • engaging a tradesperson to conduct a safety inspection
  • hiring and leasing equipment, or purchasing materials to clean a property, premises or equipment
  • removing and disposing of debris, damaged goods and material, and injured or dead livestock
  • repairing or replacing essential plant or equipment damaged during the flooding event
  • repairing a building or replacing fittings in a building.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible for a loan, the applicant must:

  • be a primary producer
  • have a primary production enterprise that is located in the defined disaster area
  • hold an Australian business number (ABN) and have held that ABN at the time of the eligible disaster
  • have been engaged in carrying on the primary production activity when affected by the eligible
  • disaster
  • be primarily responsible for meeting the costs claimed in the application
  • be intending to re-establish or continue carrying on conducting the primary production activity within the same local government area
  • have suffered significant damage to assets as a direct result of the eligible disaster
  • demonstrate that the primary production enterprise has reasonable prospects of long-term viability with the assistance provided
  • demonstrate that the primary production enterprise has the capacity to repay the loan.
