Overview

Eligible primary producers can claim the support for eligible transport costs that directly address immediate animal welfare and safety needs, including transport of:

  • emergency fodder for stock to flood-affected properties
  • stock to agistment, including returning stock
  • stock for sale or slaughter
  • emergency stock drinking water.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, the applicant must:

  • be a primary producer
  • have a primary production enterprise that is located in the defined disaster area
  • hold an Australian business number (ABN) and have held that ABN at the time of the eligible disaster
  • have been engaged in carrying on the primary production activity when affected by the eligible
  • disaster
  • be primarily responsible for meeting the costs claimed in the application
  • be intending to re-establish or continue carrying on conducting the primary production activity within the same local government area
  • have suffered significant damage to assets as a direct result of the eligible disaster
  • demonstrate that the primary production enterprise has reasonable prospects of long-term viability with the assistance provided
  • demonstrate that the primary production enterprise has the capacity to repay the loan.
