Grants from $50,000 to $100,000 for feasibility studies. If your feasibility study is successful, you may receive up to $1 million to develop a proof of concept.

Small to medium enterprises with a project that addresses one of the challenges.
Overview
We are seeking innovative solutions to address national environmental challenges. Challenges are focused in developing solutions in priority areas of oceans, soil and water quality and technologies advancing recycling.
Challenges in the natural environment have the potential to support environmental monitoring and revolutionise technologies, which also benefit the broader community and the economy.
The priority sectors round of the Business Research and Innovation Initiative asks applicants to respond to one of the following challenges:
- Revolutionising agricultural spray applications, supported by Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC)
- Turning farm crops into a renewable hydrogen source, supported by Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC)
- Turning office trash into energy treasure, supported by Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA)
- Counting fish using advanced technologies, supported by Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS)
- Automating the detection of whales at sea, supported by National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA)
