Who is this for?
NSW community not-for-profit organisations and local councils.
Overview
Funding is available for creating and enhancing programs that foster social connection for older people.
Organisations who represent harder to reach cohort groups and priority groups are encouraged to apply. These groups include:
- Aboriginal people aged 50 years and over
- people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
- people living with disability, dementia, chronic disease or mental illness
- carers
- people in rural, regional and remote areas
- people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer or asexual (LGBTQIA+).
Check if you can apply
To be eligible, applicants must:
- be an incorporated not-for-profit community organisation or NSW local council
- be creating or enhancing a project to foster social connection for older people
- not have outstanding acquittals with the Department of Communities and Justice
- meet the minimum number of expected new participants for the amount of funding provided (approximately 1 person for every $500 funded).
