Funding for WA businesses reliant on the native forest industry or products

This program provides funding to help businesses with a demonstrated reliance on native forestry to remain open and invest in job creation, through diversification, expansion and/or innovation.

Overview

This program is open to any business within Western Australia with a demonstrated reliance on the native forestry industry.

The grants can be used to help businesses remain open, or to pivot and innovate post-2023 when native forest logging ends. The funding cannot be used for general business expenses or ordinary costs. The funding must be invested in an expansion, diversification and innovation business plan that is focused on creating new jobs and/or protecting existing jobs.

To be eligible, applicants must:

• demonstrate reliance on the WA native forestry industry or reliance on native forestry or native forest products
• have an Australian company number (ACN) or Australian business number (ABN)
• be a solvent Western Australian based business or organisation
• be a valid legal entity.
