Support for Victorian small businesses to install a rooftop solar system

Solar for Business provides Victorian small businesses with a rebate and an interest free loan to help with the costs of installing a rooftop solar system.

Overview

This program is designed to help small businesses reduce their energy costs by accessing the benefits of renewable energy.

Rebates are available for up to 50% of the net cost of a rooftop solar system to a maximum value of $3500. Interest free loans of between $1,000 and $5,000 are also available, complementary to the rebate.

Loans may be paid back over a 12 or 24-month period.

Initially, this will only be available to businesses operating in their own premises, but will be expanded to include businesses that rent their premises.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, you must:

• be the owner of a business which has less than 20 employees
• operate from premises that are not considered residential
• operate from premises that are individually metered
• have your system installed by a Solar Victoria approved solar retailer
• install a solar system with a PV capacity size up to a maximum of 30kW, as detailed on the Solar Victoria approved product list
