Grant recipients announced under the Modern Manufacturing Initiative Translation and Integration streams
Grant recipients under the first round of the Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI) Translation and Integration streams are being announced successively. Successful applicants have demonstrated alignment with the 6 National Manufacturing Priority areas.
Recycling & Clean Energy
6 businesses will share in grants worth $44.5 million. This support will help Australian manufacturers grow and scale their businesses while driving down emissions and protecting the environment.
Food & Beverage
7 businesses will share in grants worth $33.7 million. This support will unlock further investment from the sector and help innovative Australian manufacturers take their home-grown products to the world.
Defence
3 businesses will share in grants worth more than $26 million. This support will help these defence manufacturers tap into new local and global defence supply chains.
Space
4 businesses will share in grants worth over $13.9 million. These grants will help Australian space manufacturers grow and become part of global supply chains. This will build our local space industry and create skilled jobs for the future.
Medical Products
Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Processing
8 businesses will receive a share of grants worth over $50 million. These grants will enable manufacturers to advance their critical minerals processing techniques, and produce high value resources for export. This will continue to build on Australia’s world class reputation in the resources sector.
What is the Modern Manufacturing Initiative Translation and Integration streams?
The MMI’s Manufacturing Translation Stream helps manufacturers translate their high quality research and ideas into commercial outcomes.
The Manufacturing Integration Stream supports Australian manufacturers to access domestic and global supply chains and produce and distribute quality products and services into new markets.
