Every year on 8 March we celebrate International Women’s Day.

It’s a day to highlight the incredible achievements and accomplishments of women, as well as raise awareness about discrimination and inequality.

The theme for 2023 is Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future.

The Australian business community has come a long way when it comes to equality and inclusion:

  • The number of female small business owners increased by 24% between 2006 and 2021.
  • Now more than 1 in 5 (22.3%) CEOs and business leaders are women, up from 19.4% in 2021.

But there’s still a way to go in closing the gender pay gap and seeing more women take the lead in Australian businesses.
