Queensland Small Business Commissioner (QSBC)

The Queensland Small Business Commissioner provides information, assistance, and advocacy support to Queensland based small businesses by:

• Providing a central point of contact for small businesses for one-to-one personalised information and guidance.
• Connecting them with a range of support services that can help.
• Delivering a fast, fair and low-cost mediation process for matters relating to small businesses leases. This includes providing initial information and advisory services, and pre-mediation services to connect tenants and landlords to try to identify solutions prior to progressing to mediation.
• Advocating for small businesses by listening to and helping amplify their views and experiences; working collaboratively with business groups and government at all levels, informing policy change and advocating for red-tape reduction and providing advice to inform and improve government services at all levels.
