Overview

The loan can be used for products, activities and services relating to animal welfare, farm preparedness, income diversification, environmental improvements as well as training and business development.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, you must:

  • own or operate a primary production enterprise in NSW where the proposed work is to be carried out
  • operate as a sole trader, partnership or private company, trading in agricultural products
  • show that the farm enterprise under normal conditions provides at least 50% of your total gross income
  • be registered with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as a primary producer and have an Australian business number (ABN)
  • not have more than $5 million in gross off-farm assets
  • demonstrate that your farm enterprise is sustainable in the long term and will be able to repay the loan
  • have the security required for the loan.
