Artists, their representatives and acts recording new music in NSW.

Overview

Funding can support recording and promotion activities for: 

  • short-form releases (e.g. a single or EP) up to $25,000   
  • long-form releases (e.g. an album) up to $50,000   
  • releases by artists signed to a major label, with matched funding up to $25,000. 

Check if you can apply

 The project must:   

  • record and promote new and original music by NSW-based artists   
  • allocate at least 20% of the funding request towards promotion costs   
  • ensure at least 60% of the budget is spent in NSW to benefit local music businesses and industry professionals
  • be undertaken between 1 June 2024 and 30 June 2025.

Eligible artists and artist representatives must meet the following criteria:

  • be 18 years or older
  • currently lives in NSW (minimum 12 months) 
  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident 
  • performs new and original work, or represents an artist that does so

To be eligible, acts must meet the following criteria:

  • all members must be 18 years or older   
  • at least 50% of members must be currently living in NSW (minimum 12 months) 
  • all members must be Australian citizens or permanent residents 
  • perform new and original work.
