A fully funded co-design for project partners to identify a training solution to address industry skills gaps.
Who is this for?
Business, business industry group, dual sector university or TAFE headquartered in Victoria.
Overview
The Skills Solutions Partnerships (SSP) program provides a platform for collaboration between government, industry, TAFEs and dual sector universities to design and pilot innovative short training approaches to rapidly address workforce skills gaps in priority sectors.
The following industry sectors are considered priority areas:
- clean economy
- construction
- digital
- healthcare and social services
- manufacturing.
Co-designed short training will:
- aim to upskill, re-skill or develop new workers
- include an on-the-job learning model (such as a placement or work-integrated learning component) to support training participants’ employment and/or progression outcomes
- be a new training solution, or an innovative new approach to an existing course where the current offering is not adequately meeting employer or training participants’ needs.
Check if you can apply
To be eligible, lead applicants must:
- be a legal entity with an operating presence in Victoria
- have a current Australian business number (ABN) and have held that number on and from 1 January 2023
- have been registered for goods and services tax (GST) on and from 1 January 2023
- have met all industrial obligations as an employer in accordance with the National Employment Standards.
