A subsidy of up to $2,000.

Who is this for?

Eligible sole traders, micro, small and medium-sized tourism and event businesses in Queensland.

Overview

Subsidies are available to support tourism and event businesses to undertake targeted tourism accreditation and/or training programs from a select number of pre-identified programs to meet their business needs.

The accreditation and/or training programs focus on the following areas:

  • sustainability
  • ecotourism
  • trade distribution
  • cultural understanding
  • improving tourism quality
  • accessible tourism
  • marinas
  • zoos and aquariums
  • caravan/holiday parks.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, businesses must:

  • primarily operate in the tourism and events industry in Queensland or be a Queensland Local Government Authority with a tourism operation
  • be registered on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW)
  • employ fewer than 200 full-time equivalent employees
  • have an established operating base in Queensland
  • hold an Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST).
