Are you a woman entrepreneur looking for resources and other support to develop your start-up?

The Australian Resource Directory for Women Entrepreneurs is now available online.

The Australian Government partnered with the Women In STEM Ambassador to provide a resource for women entrepreneurs, the Australian Resource Directory for Women Entrepreneurs.

The Australian Resource Directory for Women Entrepreneurs provides female entrepreneurs with a single resource where they can find relevant information on programs, sources of funding, networks, training courses, mentors, and tools that can help them grow their business at every step along the journey.

What can I find in the directory?

The Australian Resource Directory for Women Entrepreneurs provides information and contacts for:

  • mentoring programs
  • networking and collaboration opportunities
  • access to funding, investors and finance
  • business training and programs
  • professional development.

Why was the Australian Resource Directory for Women Entrepreneurs created?

The Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources (DISER) undertook a nationwide consultation in 2019 which highlighted some key challenges experienced by women engaging in innovative entrepreneurship and growing start-ups. The top challenges shared were:

  1. Access to funding and capital.
  2. Access to information, networks, mentors and support.
  3. Lack of confidence.

Together with the Boosting Female Founders Initiative, the Australian Resource Directory for Women Entrepreneurs has been developed to support women in addressing challenges by accessing relevant information along their entrepreneurial journey.
