What do you get?

Matched funding between $20,000 and $60,000.

Who is this for?

 Start-ups and small to medium enterprises.

Overview

This program pairs businesses with CSIRO experts to help them:

  • research a new idea or discovery with commercial potential
  • develop a novel or improved product or process
  • test a novel product, to inform research and development activities.

Matched funding is available for a wide range of early-stage research activities, such as:

  • feasibility and scoping studies
  • prototype development and testing
  • data modelling, analytics or laboratory work
  • proof-of-concept validation
  • technical evaluations or experimentation
  • materials, systems or product trials.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, businesses must either:

  • have annual turnover and operating expenditure under $10 million, or 
  • have been trading for less than 3 years.

Businesses must also:

  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
  • hold an Australian company number (ACN) or Indigenous corporation number (ICN)
  • be able to provide the required cash contribution.
