Safe farming: Farm machinery retrieval awareness session
This practical demonstration session provides TAS primary producers with information on how to safely plan and carry out machinery recovery tasks.
Come along to a practical demo session on safe retrieval of bogged farm machinery, covering risks, planning, equipment, WHS and recovery techniques.
The focus will be on how to undertake the task safely, work health and safety requirements, and obligations, task planning, risk assessment, recovery approach, recovery equipment, recovery attachments, use of appropriate gear and demonstration of machinery retrieval.
The aim of these sessions is to provide practical guidance and advice, encourage positive safe farming conversations and networking opportunities, and to:
- reduce the risk to workers and others involved in vehicle and farm equipment recovery
- positively influence farm machinery retrieval worker safety
- reduce injuries, and promote safe and healthy workplaces.
