The New Business Support Service connects those intending to start a business, or those who have had an Australian business number (ABN) for less than 12 months, with advisors who can provide up to 2 hours of free business advice.

The service is available to start-ups and new small businesses with 19 or fewer Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) employees.

Businesses that have had an ABN for more than 12 months can access free advice under the Tasmanian Business Advice Service.

New Business Support Service advisors can help you with topics like:

  • establishing a business structure
  • determining business viability
  • financial forecasting
  • identifying new opportunities.

You can meet online with any advisor located across the state, or meet in person by visiting the advisor located within your region.
