Funding for arts and/or cultural festivals held in Western Sydney

Overview

Funding is available to support existing Western Sydney festivals to:

• develop and present enhanced and more diverse arts, culture and creative industries programming
• grow and diversify audiences
• facilitate new partnerships with arts and cultural organisations
• provide opportunities for Western Sydney artists and creative workers to showcase their work, reach new audiences and strengthen connection with peers, communities and industry
• support the development of sustainable, place-based creative ecosystems that foster collaboration and community engagement
• celebrate and activate Western Sydney’s communities and strengthen the region’s profile as a vibrant cultural destination.

The program will provide 4 applicants with $250,000 each.

To be eligible, applicants must:

• be a legal entity
• have an Australian business number (ABN)
• be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
• have previously delivered an arts and/or cultural event in an eligible Western Sydney local government area, and 
• have delivered the festival (as identified in the previous point) at least twice within the last 4 years (since 1 December 2022).
