Overview
This program aims to support employers to help their workers to build the language, literacy and numeracy skills they need to do their jobs.
There are 2 grant streams that are designed to cover each stage of an applicant’s commitment to improving language, literacy and numeracy skills in their organisation:
26Ten Get Ready Grants – funding of up to $5,000
- support for organisations that are considering applying for a 26Ten Workplace Grant but are not sure where to begin
- funding may be used to employ an Adult Literacy Trainer to assist them gather information required to write an application for a 26Ten Workplace Grant.
26Ten Workplace Grants – funding of up to $65,000
- support for organisations to run projects and activities that help their workers improve their reading, writing, maths, speaking and listening skills.

Applications will be accepted from:
- an organisation or sole trader
- a private or not-for-profit organisation
- local councils and council-owned businesses
- eligible government entities
- private registered training organisations and independent schools, applying on respect of their non-teaching workforce only.
All applicants must operate in Tasmania, and employ workers on a paid or unpaid basis.
