Disaster Assist provides assistance to businesses and individuals affected by natural disasters in Australia.

Assistance is provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-Territory Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).

Disaster Recovery Payment

The Disaster Recovery Payment is a one-off recovery payment for people that have been affected by a disaster.

Disaster Recovery Allowance

The Disaster Recovery Allowance is a short term payment for people that have had their income affected by a disaster.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To receive funding, you must:

  • make a claim with the claiming period
  • be located in an area that has been named as eligible for assistance.
