Aboriginal-owned small businesses impacted by the Fitzroy Valley flooding from 28 December 2022 onwards.

Overview

Grants are available to support Aboriginal-owned small businesses and sole traders in the economic recovery of the Fitzroy Valley following the flooding associated with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Ellie.

Funding available includes:

  • Services and training grants up to $25,000 to cover non-capital costs for business establishment or growth such as insurance, business accreditation and training.
  • Equipment and asset grants of up to $100,000 to assist with the hire, lease or purchase of specialist assets or items to undertake recovery works delivery.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, applicants must be an Aboriginal-owned small business or trading enterprise that:

  • is registered with Supply Nation, Aboriginal Business Directory WA or Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations
  • operates and is located in the Shire of Derby-West Kimberley (SDWK)
  • can demonstrate 2 years history of regularly providing goods and services to customers located in the SDWK
  • has an active Australian business number (ABN).
