Who is this for?

Queensland primary producers impacted by the North QLD monsoon trough, associated Cyclone Koji and severe weather, commencing 24 December 2025.

Overview

Loans may be used to re-establish the normal operations of the primary production enterprise, including:

  • repairing or replacing damaged plant and equipment
  • repairing or replacing farm buildings
  • purchasing livestock to replace those lost in the disaster event
  • meeting carry-on requirements (including re-planting, restoring or re-establishing areas affected by the disaster event), purchasing sustenance, essential property operations or paying rent and rates.

Low-interest loans of up to $2 million over a maximum term of 10 years are available.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, you must:

  • have sustained substantial damage to buildings, plant, equipment or stock as a result of the disaster
  • be a primary producer in Queensland
  • have a property located in a 'defined disaster area'
  • provide adequate security for the loan
  • be able to demonstrate the ongoing viability of the primary production enterprise
  • have taken reasonable precautions to avoid loss or damage from a disaster, such as having adequate insurance.

Primary producers significantly affected by an eligible disaster, but not located in a defined disaster area, may be eligible to apply for assistance as an 'individually disaster-stricken enterprise'.
