What do you get?

Funding of up to $2500 per charger, for a maximum of 4 chargers per business.

Who is this for?

Small to medium TAS tourism businesses.

Overview

Funding is available to cover all costs to install new eligible destination chargers defined as a permanently-wired 240V AC electric vehicle charging station that provides between 7kW to 22kW rate of charge.

Eligible expenses include:

  • purchase of chargers
  • installation of infrastructure to support chargers
  • relevant signage and safety equipment.

Chargers must be:

  • installed by a licensed electrical contractor
  • only available for use by visitors at dedicated electric vehicle parking spots
  • installed on a site which is owned or under the direct control (i.e. long-term lease) of the applicant.

Up to 4 destination chargers can be installed per business.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, business must:

  • provide overnight accommodation to visitors on a commercial basis
  • be currently operating and physically located in Tasmania
  • have a valid Australian business number (ABN)
  • be a small to medium business, employing no more than 199 full-time equivalent employees.
