NT small businesses impacted by an eligible disaster.

Overview

Recovery grants are available for activities directly related to the clean-up and reinstatement of a business, including but not limited to:

  • costs to engage existing employees to carry out or assist in clean-up
  • immediate clean-up, including safety inspections
  • removing debris and damaged goods
  • replacing or leasing equipment or materials necessary for business to immediately resume
  • replacing lost stock essential before business can resume
  • costs of occupying temporary premises if essential for immediate operations
  • insurance excess relating to eligible reinstatement cost
  • essential repairs and reinstatement of fixtures and fittings.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, small businesses must:

  • have operated in the defined disaster area, continuously up to and throughout the period of the eligible disaster, and intend to continue its operation in the same location or local government area
  • be a Territory enterprise
  • have incurred direct damage to their premises and/or tools of trade
  • employ fewer than 20 full-time equivalent staff
  • have not already received grant funding from any other source for the same purpose.
