Overview
The scheme operates under the following categories
- Northbound goods, for goods shipped across Bass Strait from Tasmania to the Australian mainland. This includes goods staying on the mainland and goods shipped to other markets.
- Southbound goods, for goods shipped across Bass Strait from the Australian mainland to Tasmania. This includes Australian goods and goods imported from overseas.
- King Island and the Furneaux Group, for goods shipped in either direction between King Island or the Furneaux Group and the main island of Tasmania.
- Sportspersons and professional entertainers, for sporting and entertainment equipment.
- Brood mares, for brood mares shipped on a round trip.
