Overview

High-quality internships are available to WA food and beverage businesses to help them:

  • tackle STEM challenges within their business
  • grow their talent pipeline
  • strengthen innovation capability, especially in regional WA
  • build long-term relationships with local universities and TAFEs.

Participating businesses benefit by:

  • facilitated project scoping and student matching
  • gaining access to top-talent STEM students
  • $2,500 payment upon completion of placement
  • additional travel funding for regional businesses.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, businesses must:

  • be a registered business, operating for more than one year
  • be located in WA, or have an office located in WA
  • be operating within the food and/or beverage sector, as a producer, manufacturer or technology provider
  • have a minimum of 3 employees, with at least one able to provide guidance and mentorship to the student intern
  • hold relevant insurances, including wok cover and public liability.
