Overview

Festivals Australia provides funding to support high quality arts or cultural heritage projects in regional Australia that participants and audiences can engage with. Eligible activities can include:

  • a parade
  • performance
  • workshop
  • installation
  • exhibition.

The program supports the presentation of arts and cultural activities that will enable people living in regional or remote Australia to participate in or attend an arts driven experience at a festival, or major one-off community celebration.

Approximately $1.2 million is available each financial year to support arts or cultural heritage projects.

Funding will be available through annual or multi-year funding agreements, and will depend on the funds available.

There is no limit to the amount of funding you can apply for. However, you should keep in mind that the program seeks to deliver a diverse range of quality projects in regional areas.
