Leading people on the factory floor is different to leading in an office.

Supervisors, leading hands and team leaders are expected to deliver results every day – under tight deadlines, production pressure, safety demands and shifting workforce challenges. When communication breaks down, or personality styles clash, misunderstandings and conflict can quickly escalate.

This practical, hands-on DiSC workshop is designed specifically for middle leaders in blue-collar, production-focused environments. It focuses on real operational leadership scenarios – with tools and strategies participants can use immediately with their crews.

In this interaction session, participants will learn how to:

  • understand their leadership style (especially under pressure)
  • recognise how different personality types respond to direction, feedback and change
  • improve communication to drive clarity, safety and accountability
  • motivate different personalities on the floor (what works – and what doesn’t)
  • manage conflict and difficult conversations using practical frameworks (including the H.E.A.T model)
  • apply DiSC in real-time through group discussion and scenario role plays.

This workshop avoids corporate jargon and “soft” theory, and instead delivers plain-language, practical leadership tools tailored to manufacturing and operational workplaces.
