Managing psychosocial hazards and risks spotlight series: New codes of practice

This interactive workshop explores South Australia’s newly published Codes of Practice that support businesses to meet their obligations under the psychosocial regulations of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012. While employers have always been legally required to protect workers from both physical and psychological hazards, the new Codes provide clear, practical guidance on how to meet these responsibilities in everyday workplace settings.

In this workshop, we will cover:

• why psychosocial hazards matter and the common hazards present in workplaces
• how both Codes of Practice support a structured risk management approach
• key features of the Sexual and Gender-Based Harassment Code, including behaviours that create risks of harm at work
