WorkSafe Victoria runs the OHS Essentials Program, which offers free, independent advice to help businesses create a safety action plan to suit the business need and size.

Consultants go to workplaces to help businesses identify hazards, prioritise safety issues and implement strategies to mitigate or resolve them.

This program is available to small or medium businesses or contractors with a WorkCover insurance policy. Farmers do not need a WorkCover insurance policy to be eligible for the program.

The head office is located in Geelong with other offices located in Ballarat, Bendigo, Essendon Fields, Mildura, Mulgrave, Narre Warren, Shepparton, Traralgon, Wangaratta and Warrnambool.
