Who is this for?

Organisations, businesses and local government authorities.


Funding is available for urgent conservation works at a state registered heritage places, or for owners of state registered heritage places to develop heritage conservation plans, cultural landscape plans or feasibility studies.

There are 2 funding streams:

  • State heritage grants – private owners undertaking conservation projects
  • Community heritage grants – organisations undertaking community engagement and interpretation projects.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible for state heritage grants, applicants must:

  • be a private owner of a state registered heritage place
  • hold comprehensive building insurance for the place
  • have held the certificate of title for 3 or more years.

To be eligible for community heritage grants, applicants must be one of the following:

  • incorporated not-for-profit organisation
  • businesses, including individuals/sole traders with a valid Australian business number (ABN)
  • Western Australian local government authority.
