What do you get?
Grants between $100,000 and $500,000 per eligible location.
The grant will provide $1,000 per kilowatt hour (kWh) of battery storage capacity and up to 100% of eligible project expenditure.

Overview
This grant opportunity will deliver community batteries to support lower electricity bills and emissions, support storage of excess solar energy, and reduce pressure on the grid. It complements the Community Batteries for Household Solar Program - Delivery of Election Commitments Stream 2.
This stream (Stream 1) aims to install, connect and operate community batteries in certain locations listed in the grant opportunity guidelines. Only one community battery can be installed in each location under this grant opportunity. You can apply for funding to install a community battery in more than one location but you must submit a separate application for each location.
