Overview

Funding is available to support WA construction businesses to fill the demand for a skilled workforce.

Applicants may use the subsidy to offset the costs incurred in the migration process, including:

  • recruitment costs
  • fees paid to a registered migration agent
  • visa application fees
  • relocation costs.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, employers must sponsor skilled migrants in at least one of the following visa subclasses:

  • 482 – Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa – medium term (up to 4 years) or short term (up to 2 years)
  • 494 – Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa – up to 5 years
  • 186 – Employer Nominated Scheme (ENS) – permanent.

Additionally, applicants must:

  • be headquartered and undertaking commercial and/or residential building and construction work in Western Australia, in an eligible occupation
  • have a valid Australian business number (ABN).
