Funding for SA event organisers and businesses to host events in drought-affected regions

Overview

Funding is available to support the delivery of events in SA drought-affected regions that bring economic benefit to the region and community by:

• enhancing the engagement of local suppliers, contractors and businesses to deliver the event
• purchasing local products for use within the event or its presentation
• marketing costs associated with the event that increase awareness and visitation
• concessions provided to primary producers
• engagement of short term (up to 6 months) specialised personnel to further develop the event and/ or market the event.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, events must:

• have an Australian business number (ABN)
• be either a corporation registered with ASIC or an Incorporated Association or South Australian Government Body or other body corporate
•  a minimum of $20 million public liability insurance and other relevant insurance cover
• have a minimum of 500 attendees
• be leisure tourism events
• generate event-specific visitor expenditure from intrastate and/or interstate markets.
