Funding for mass participation events held in Tasmania

Overview

Funding is available for mass participation events that are held in Tasmania and provide substantial economic benefit for the state.

Preference will be given to events that:

• bring substantial benefit to regional Tasmania
• take place outside the peak tourism season
• have a track record of delivering successful events in Australia or internationally
• effectively promote pre- and post-event travel within Tasmania.

Applications are welcome from any eligible Australian organisation.

The basic eligibility requirements include:

• the event must bring at minimum 750 visitors to Tasmania from interstate or overseas
• the event must be able to substantiate any claims they make, either through research, verified data or economic impact studies.
