Support for commercial horticulture businesses in the Gnangara groundwater allocation plan area

Overview

Local growers in the defined area can access vouchers to engage certified irrigation specialists to:

• audit their properties
• design efficient irrigation systems
• provide written advice on technologies, soil amendments and cropping strategies to improve water use efficiency within their enterprise
• develop soil amelioration plans and options to improve soil health.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, you must:

• own, share-farm or lease a property that you use for commercial horticulture production (lessee of property must provide landlord consent in writing)
• have a commercial horticultural property located in an eligible groundwater subareas, and is subject to the 10% reduction to groundwater abstraction from 2028 under the 2022 Gnangara groundwater allocation plan
• conduct the majority of your primary production business in Western Australia
• operate as a sole trader, partnership, trust or private company
• hold a current Australian business number (ABN) and are registered for goods and services tax (GST).
