The India Australia Rapid Innovation and Startup Expansion Accelerator (RISE) Accelerator program supports start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working on innovative technology who are considering expansion between Australia and India. The program focusses on environment and climate technologies.

From the program, start-ups and SMEs will be able to:

  • gain valuable market, cultural and regulatory insight into the Indian market
  • fast track connections to the right partners and customers, including on-the-ground mentors, funders, suppliers, distributors, regulators and researchers
  • grow and scale their technology and research overseas
  • pilot, adapt and validate technology for a new market
  • gain visibility of joint-innovation funds, grants and investors in each region.

Competitively selected start-ups and SMEs will participate in a nine-month program of cross-border capacity building activities.

Participating start-ups/SMEs will receive a grant of up to $75,000 to support their participation in the Program, and are eligible for a travel allowance to support the costs of national and international travel.
