Overview

This program provides support for livestock transport businesses, including those who have made investments in transportation of sheep and the delivery of essential export related goods such as feed, bedding, water systems, veterinary supplies and handling equipment specifically for the live sheep export by sea trade, to transition to other transport-related activities which may require further investment.

Funding may be used for:

  • a range of planning and technical advice
  • training activities
  • retrofitting or upgrading existing sheep livestock trailers, trucks or equipment
  • acquisition of specialised transport trailers
  • improving on-depot infrastructure or systems
  • enhancing digital, traceability and compliance technologies and systems
  • safety improvements.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, you must:

  • have an Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for the purposes of goods and services tax (GST)
  • be a resident of Australia for operational and tax purposes
  • have an account with an Australian financial institution
  • be a legal entity.

An eligible entity may apply for a grant of up to $40,000 if they did not receive a grant in round 1. Entities that received a grant of less than $40,000 in round 1 can apply for the balance in round 2.
