Overview

Funding is available to help businesses enhance their capacity, capability and competitiveness to supply major projects and markets in Australia and overseas.

The objective of this round is to provide funding support to Western Australian SMEs in the following regions: 

  • Gascoyne
  • Goldfields-Esperance
  • Great Southern
  • Kimberley
  • Mid West
  • Peel
  • Pilbara
  • South West
  • Wheatbelt.

The fund is to enhance SMEs' business capability and capacity to supply to export markets, Western Australian or Local Government agencies, the Australian Government and the private business sector.

Successful applicants can receive up to 50% of eligible activity costs for a maximum of $20,000.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, you must:

  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST) at least 12 months prior to application submission and intend to remain registered for the next 12 months
  • be operating in a trade-exposed industry (or an industry that faces competition from other national or international SMEs or SMEs outside their region)
  • have an Australian business number (ABN)
  • be a for-profit organisation or business
  • have your principal place of business in an eligible region
  • have at least one full-time equivalent (FTE) employee, in addition to the owner, but fewer than 200 FTE employees at the time of application submission.
