Overview

There are 3 streams of funding to support digital uplift across south east Queensland:

Stream 1 – Improving connectivity and productivity

Example projects include:

  • public Wi-Fi solutions
  • construction of facilities/buildings to house digital infrastructure
  • connectivity upgrades for local governments and businesses.

Stream 2 – Building digital capability and inclusion

Example projects include:

  • short-term training to address digital skills shortages
  • training/mentoring support for small to medium enterprises looking to upskill in digital.

Stream 3 – Supporting the growth of high-skilled industries and jobs

Example projects include:

  • digital innovation/technology hubs
  • support (financial or otherwise) for tech startups looking to establish a base in south east Queensland
  • partnerships between local governments, industry and the tertiary sector to grow the pipeline of tech talent.

  • be a legal entity
  • have an active Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
  • have a registered place of business in an eligible location
  • meet the specific eligibility criteria for the relevant funding stream.
