Manufacturing Benchmark Program QLD

This initiative provides QLD manufacturing businesses with access to a subsidised manufacturing benchmarking program.

What do you get?

Access to subsidised benchmarking.

Who is this for?

QLD manufacturing businesses.

The Manufacturing Benchmarking Service assists manufacturers in comparing their businesses against national and global standards and understanding their opportunities to further develop their business.

Benchmarking is the process of comparing your business against your competitors or other similar sized businesses in your industry or local area.

Benchmarking can help businesses:

  • understand their customers need
  • identify costs that can be reduced
  • improve efficiency
  • set realistic expectations and goals for the future
  • examine their performance compared to the rest of the market
  • assess employee productivity
  • identify opportunities for improvement, new ideas and innovative practices
  • understand their competitors
  • forecast the impact of any market changes.

The department will subsidise 50% of the manufacturing benchmark cost performed by an authorised supplier.

This service is for Queensland manufacturers looking to benchmark their business’s resource use, waste and carbon emissions and develop a detailed action plan to reduce costs and their environmental footprint.
