Funding for SA musicians and music businesses

Overview

There are 2 streams of funding available:

• Creative development (artists) – Supports recording and performing artists, songwriters, producers, and artists’ managers (on behalf of their artists) in the creation, presentation, production or delivery of original music composition or content
• Business development (music businesses) – Supports recording studios, promoters, record labels, booking agents, live music venues, artist managers, and other music entrepreneurs, businesses or organisations with their efforts to facilitate the creation, presentation, production, or delivery of original music.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, you must:

• be a professional SA musician, writing and performing your own music, or
• be a local music business/organisation supporting a SA artist in the creation, presentation, production, delivery, or development of original music
• have been based in and operating in SA for more than 6 months.
