Low interest loans for disaster affected NSW small businesses

Overview

The Natural Disaster Loan provides low interest loans to small businesses directly affected by a declared natural disaster.

The loan is intended to help small businesses:

• return to their normal level of trading or until the next major income is received within 12 months from the date of disaster
• replace and repair damage caused and associated improvements not covered by insurance.

Loans of up to $130,000 over a period of 12 years are available.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, you must:

• earn the majority of your gross income from the business
• operate a business located within an LGA that has been declared a natural disaster and intend to re-establish the business within the same LGA
• be in working occupation of the business
• be in urgent and genuine need of financial assistance
• demonstrate the long-term viability of your business and the ability to repay the loan
• provide security for the loan
• lodge an application within 6 months of the date of the declared natural disaster.
