Funding for primary producers affected by the NSW East Coast severe weather event and/or Tropical Cyclone Alfred

Overview

Funding is available to eligible primary producers and enterprises impacted by the NSW East Coast severe weather event that began on 18 May 2025 and/or Tropical Cyclone Alfred severe weather that began on 3 March 2025.

Funding is targeted towards cleanup, removal of debris, disposal and/or replacement of dead livestock and reinstatement in cases where the impact has been severe and could result in production and viability being disrupted beyond the current season.

To be eligible, applicants must:

• be a primary producer or have a primary production enterprise and operate as a sole trader, partnership, trust or private company in NSW
• be a primary producer or have a primary production enterprise and hold a Class A Aquaculture Permit authorising an aquaculture lease area of at least 1 hectare
• have an Australian business number (ABN) that was registered at the time of the event
• be located in the defined disaster are and have suffered direct damage as a result of this event
• be responsible for essential repair and replacement costs following direct damage to the primary production enterprise
• intend to re-establish or continue the primary production within the same location or LGA
• have earned a minimum of 50% of total gross income and $20,000 from eligible primary production in one of the last 5 financial years or demonstrate that your business would do so in the ordinary course of business.
