Who is this for?

Primary producers impacted by the northern and central Queensland monsoon and flooding.

Overview

Funding may be used to:

  • restock livestock lost as a direct consequence of the disaster event
  • transport or freight costs associated with replacement of lost livestock
  • restore or replace lost or damaged on-farm infrastructure.

To be eligible, applicants must own a primary production enterprise in one of the following local government areas:

  • Boulia Shire Council
  • Burke Shire Council
  • Carpentaria Shire Council
  • Cloncurry Shire Council
  • Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council
  • Mornington Shire Council
  • Mount Isa Shire Council.

Additionally, applicants must:

  • be able to demonstrate and have verified the losses suffered as a direct result from the disaster event
  • be able to make the required co-contribution of cash funds to match the grant funds requested
  • have been approved for a grant under the Extraordinary Disaster Assistance Recovery Grants Scheme prior to making an application for this program
  • demonstrate the ongoing viability of their primary production enterprise.
