Funding for TAS timber processing projects

Overview

The program offers the opportunity to develop quality products such as: 

• sawn timber
• veneer
• engineered wood products
• new high value timber products. 

Projects which will be highly regarded are those best able to demonstrate viability and provide the greatest increase in the value and/or return from Tasmania’s hardwood plantation.

To be eligible, applicants must:

• be registered for tax purposes in Australia with an active Australian business number (ABN) and be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
• demonstrate existing financial viability of the business as well as the financial capacity to deliver the applicant’s contribution toward the project and meet project contingencies
• in the case of joint applications or consortia, nominate a principal applicant who is the primary project proponent.
