Overview

This program provides eligible primary producers and landholders with a reimbursement for the use of approved products on their property to control plague locusts.

The rebate is paid for all product purchase expenses incurred up to a maximum of $35 excl. GST per hectare sprayed, payable once all spraying has been completed.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be a landowner, sharefarmer or lessee of a primary production property in an eligible area
  • hold an Australian business number (ABN)
  • be registered for goods and services tax (GST) as of 1 September 2026.
