TAS primary producers impacted by the severe weather event commencing 26 August 2024.

Overview

Funding is available to help primary producers impacted by the severe weather event:

  • with the costs of clean-up and reinstatement
  • to continue or recommence operations as soon as possible where the impact has been severe.

The maximum grant amount available is $10,000 (GST exclusive) to eligible primary producers state-wide for the costs associated with eligible activities to undertake clean-up and recovery.

An additional amount of $15,000 is available for primary producers in the Derwent Valley and Central highlands LGAs provided evidence can demonstrate additional expenses have been incurred for clean-up and recovery following the flood and severe weather event.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be a primary producer
  • hold an Australian business number (ABN) at the time of the severe weather event commencing 26 August 2024
  • have been engaged in carrying on the primary production enterprise when affected by the event
  • derive at least 50% of your gross income from primary production
  • have a primary enterprise that is located in the defined area for the event and have suffered direct damage as a result of the eligible disaster
  • be primarily responsible for meeting the costs claimed.
