Internet 2.0 – defending an open and safe internet
David Robinson: The R&D Tax Incentive has allowed Internet 2.0 to invest into the company's I.P., get a greater return for investors and also increase our capacity to build better products long-term.

Patrick Hamilton: Internet 2.0 is a cyber software company is probably the best way to describe it.

Cyber security is quite important because cyber warfare is becoming mainstream.
Anyone connected to the Internet is now at risk.
David Robinson: The R&D tax incentive is a huge supporter of Australian innovation and companies and startups.

Internet 2.0’s Fifth Column project went through the advanced finding process.
Advanced finding enabled us to get far more certainty around how to work our project within the tax incentive and it gave a better outcome for the core IP because we're able to invest in certainty.
Rafig Jabrayilov: Our A.I. algorithm Fifth Column can basically scan accounts, scan your followers or your engagers and make sure you are not interacting with bots.

David Robinson: Social media is getting smashed from malign interests looking to deceive, manipulate, spread disinformation and misinformation online.
Rafig Jabrayilov: Internet 2.0 did an analysis on Twitter portal and we found out around 65% of those accounts were bots.
David Robinson: The real application for Fifth Column is all about helping users understand if they're talking to bots or real people on social media.
Patrick Hamilton: R&D is very important in cyber security because of the environment we're in; it’s dynamic, new threats are emerging and therefore new solutions have to be created.
David Robinson: The R&D cloaking project has been a great success from Internet 2.0’s perspective.
Patrick Hamilton: What cloaking does for a network is it denies intelligence for an attacker and therefore denies a successful attack.
David Robinson: The R&D cloaking project went through an iterative research phase, and then after the project was complete, we're able to commercialise it because of the investment we're able to do upfront.
I found the case managers that worked on our projects were very supportive.
They were open to dialogue, open to communication.
We were able to communicate very effectively and maximise our project's potential and investment by having a two-way street from a communication standpoint.
Patrick Hamilton: What I like about the Australian Research and Development Tax Incentive program is that it helps make Australia innovative and I see that as the future.
David Robinson: The algorithms and A.I. platforms that are built over the next 3 to 5 years are going to define the next 20 years in cyber security.
Internet 2.0 is investing heavily in A.I. from an R&D perspective.
We have A.I. in every single one of our products and services and we’re continually looking for new ways to incorporate our algorithms and processes to increase the accuracy and the capacity of our capabilities.
