Funding for TAS small businesses impacted by the severe weather event commencing 26 August 2024

Overview

Funding is available to help small businesses impacted by the severe weather event:

• with the costs of clean-up and reinstatement
• to continue or recommence operations as soon as possible where the impact has been severe.

2 tiers of funding are available to help pay for clean-up and reinstatement costs:

• Tier 1 – funding of $2,500 to support initial costs
• Tier 2 – subsequent funding of $22,500 to support ongoing costs.

Check if you can apply

To be eligible, applicants must:

• be a sole operator or a small business employing 19 or fewer full-time equivalent employees (FTEs)
• hold an Australian business number (ABN) at the time of the severe weather event commencing 26 August 2024
• have suffered direct damage to premises and/or tools
• be claiming for costs relating to clean-up activities
• be primarily responsible for meeting the costs claimed.
